James Richard Robinson
Attorney Robinson has practiced in the field of criminal law since 1988. Attorney Robinson focuses his practice predominantly on criminal defense. Over the past 20 years, Attorney Robinson has engaged in over 100 criminal jury trials. He represents clients who have been charged with charges ranging from driving under the influence, drug cases, assault cases, sex offenses, white collar crimes, juvenile offenses and criminal homicide cases. Over the past 20 years, Attorney Robinson has represented approximately 25 individuals charged with criminal homicide. Of those matters, Attorney Robinson has participated in approximately 10 capital death penalty trials.
Attorney Robinson was born on September 23, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia. Subsequent to graduating from Marshall University in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration, Attorney Robinson graduated from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1987. After graduating, Attorney Robinson was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Albert Acker, President Judge of the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas. In 1988, Attorney Robinson joined the law firm of Wiley and Benn in York County, Pennsylvania. In 1999, Attorney Robinson became a partner in the law firm of Benn and Robinson. In February 2002, Attorney Robinson joined as a partner with the law firm of Miller, Poole & Lord, LLP.
Attorney Robinson has been involved in many high profile cases in the York County area. He is death penalty qualified in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to represent individuals charged with capital homicide. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
